Mt. Olivet offers two services. The 8:45 am casual service meets in the fellowship building. The 11:00 am service is held in the sanctuary. A nursery is provided for both services for children four years old and younger. During the 11:00 am service, all children are invited to the front of the sanctuary for Children’s Time, an interpretation of the day’s scripture lesson. After Children’s Time, the children may accompany our Children’s Coordinator, Ron Sansing, to the education wing for Children’s Church, where they will be able to participate in activities reinforcing the scripture of the day.
Holy Communion is celebrated the first Sunday of each month.
Sunday School classes are available from 10:00 am to 10:45 am for all ages. To find the appropriate class for you or your children, refer to the church diagram in the ABOUT section of this website.
Each year, the church has several special services to celebrate occasions during the Christian year. These include a Maundy Thursday communion service, an Easter Sunrise service that is held in Carolina Memorial Park, a candlelight Christmas Eve service and a special service in October called the Blessing of the Animals. This service allows church and community members to bring their pets to the church so the minister can say a prayer of blessing for each pet. A local veterinarian is present to provide treats for the animals.
