Sunday School Classes

Classes meet from 10:00 am to 10:45 am each Sunday.
The nursery is staffed by CPR-certified personnel during both worship services and Sunday school. Age-appropriate toys and cribs for naptime are available.
Children’s Sunday School Classes
Several classes are available for toddlers through fifth graders. Materials and activities are geared to the age level of the students.
Youth Sunday School Classes
There is a class for middle school students and another for senior high students. Topics covered are meant to deepen the student’s faith and understanding of their relationship with God.
Adult Sunday School Classes
Each adult class takes a different approach to the journey through the Bible. There are classes that use the lecture style and others that center on discussion of a topic. Each class enjoys participating in Christian fellowship.

The music program is blessed to have two very talented musicians who lead many of the programs.
Individual Musicians
Solos, duets and guitar music are performed during the casual service at 8:45 am.
Chancel Choir
The members of the adult choir share their God-given talents with the congregation during the 11:00 am service and other special services throughout the year. Anyone is welcome to join the choir for practice on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm.
Children’s Choir
The children of the church are invited to join the Choristers. They practice at 9:45 before Sunday school during the school year. They perform regularly during the 11:00 am service.
Adult Hand Bell Choir
The first octave of hand bells were donated in memory of long-time church member K. Lee Scott more than twenty five years ago. A second octave of bells and chimes have since been added. The bell choir is a beautiful addition to the music program of the church. Practice is open to anyone on Thursday night at 7:00 pm.

Wednesday Night Bible Study

Studying, questioning, and discovering happen as class members approach different topics during short term studies as they continue their individual faith journeys. Participants enjoy spirited discussions related to embracing God’s love and grace for all. This study is led by Pastor Cheryl Skinner at 6:30 pm on Tuesday nights.

United Methodist Men
The men of the church are encouraged to join this fellowship. They meet on the third Monday of each month. During the school year, they prepare a meal for the high school students who are involved in Young Life. Young Life is an organization of high school and college students who gather to worship, study, and share their Christian faith. The United Methodist Men also sponsor a special collection during Lent called the 30 Pieces of Silver offering. All proceeds from this offering are donated to Cabarrus Meals On Wheels.
United Methodist Women
The women of the church are invited to join one of the UMW circles. The purpose of these groups is to develop a supportive fellowship by studying God’s word and serving those in our community and world who need help. The UMW sponsors two fundraisers each year—one in the spring and another in the fall. Proceeds from these projects are distributed to local and global agencies that assist women and children.
